Yesterday I made a trip to the Butterfly Wonderland in Scottsdale, AZ. My photograph technique for butterflies is finally getting refined after several trips. This trip definitely resulted in my best photos.
On July 30th, a friend and I headed from Phoenix to Durango, CO for a six day backpacking in the Weminuche Wilderness Area. Our goal was to cross through the Grenadier and Needle Mountains. Starting at Elk Creek and heading up into the Vestal Basin, crossing over the Grenadiers to Tenmile Basin. Then up and over another pass into Noname Basin, and finally up and over Monitor Pass into Ruby Basin.
Joshua Tree National Park is a place that is really special for me. I frequent the National Park several times a year for different things. Lately it’s been as a tourist and photographer which is much different than as a rock climber.
